Marketing channel depends on modern communication and information technology that industrial and metal companies can use in promoting and selling their products along with traditional marketing outlets. To achieve the objectives of the research, a questionnaire was used, which consists of three axes, the first includes the personal data of the sample (gender, age, educational attainment, place of residence, marital status, income level), while the second axis includes various questions about the products of the national industry. The study included two experiments for a period at 2/10/2021 to 28/11/2021, where eggs were injected into the Mustafa Poultry Hatchery/ Wasit Governorate- Aziziyah District. A 400 hatching eggs of 308 Ross&nbsp; mothers of modern broilers used at age&nbsp; of 48&nbsp; week, eggs of average weight&nbsp; 66 ± 1 g/egg were collected in same day then stored for two days. A quarter of treatments were randomly distributed with 100 eggs for each treatment. The first treatment T1 without injection as control treatment, and T4, T3, and T2 (while injected into the space air) on day 12 of, in an amount of 0.2 mL for each egg, with concentration of 450, 300, 150 µg/mL, respectively. The hatched chicks were bred in the same fields, where 180 chicks of the chicks were distributed into four treatments, 45 chicks for each treated and three replicates (15 chicks) for each T1, T2, T3 and T4&nbsp; were placed in a cage for 35 days. The results Showed A significant&nbsp; (p&lt;0.05) increase for T4 compared to the control in body weight, body weight gain and relative weight of the gizzard, will all injection&nbsp; treatment recorded a highly significant decrease in the total feed consumption and feed conversion ratio compared to control treatment. During the research, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04 and 0.05 % of stevia sweetener was added to the cream instead of the sugar used. Physical and chemical tests were performed for the stevia extract and the microbial content in the cream, as well as the sensory evaluation. For gait analysis, EMG needs to be small, lightweight, portable device, and with low power consumption. The proposed superficial EMG (sEMG) system is aimed to be used in rehabilitation centers and biomechanics laboratories for gait analysis in Iraq.</strong></p> <p><strong>The system is built using MyoWare, which is controlled by using STM32F100 microcontroller. The sEMG signal is transferred via Bluetooth to the computer (about 30m range) for further processing. MATLAB is used for sEMG signal conditioning. The overall system cost (without computer) is about $80. The proposed system is validated using wired NORAXON EMG using the mean root mean squared method. The mean age of the participants was 50 SD ± 11 years (mean 30-72); 51% were females and 49% males, mostly in forties who lived ≥ 5 years in Baghdad. The results showed that 80% of individuals prefer red meat. A 90% of people prefer fresh meat compared to frozen and processed meat. A 60% of people b</strong><strong>uy</strong><strong> meat from popular markets. Nearly 87% of respondents believe the improving of livestock sector is essential and 80% of people confirmed there are obstacles to development this sector. An 80% of participates thought the reasons of the high prices of local fresh meat is the lack of planning and support to livestock sector. A survey also include chronic diseases assessment, a 60% of the individuals suffer from some chronic diseases, 23% of them suffer from cardiovascular diseases, 13% from diabetes, 21% had arthritis, and 3% were exposed to various types of benign or malignant tumors. In addition, the study appeared 30% of the sample suffered from gastrointestinal diseases such as diarrhea, colic, colitis, and acidity of the stomach and 21% were suffering from urinary problems. It has noticed that there is risk factor of urinary system diseases, arthritis and diabetes with excessive consumption of red meat. Laft Copyright (c) 2022 Thu, 07 Jul 2022 00:00:00 +0000 STUDY OF YIELD AND ITS COMPONENTS OF INTRODUCED VARIETIES OF MAIZE UNDER DIFFERENT PLANTING DENSITIES <p><strong>In order to evaluate the performance of introduced varieties of maize and test them under different levels of plant density, and to determine which of the introduced varieties give a high yield and at what plant density, a field experiment was carried out at Station A in the Department of Field Crops- College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences - University of Baghdad- Jadiriyah, for the fall season 2021, the RCBD design was used with four replications, in a split plot arrangement, the three plant densities (50.000, 70.000, and 90.000 Plant s ha<sup>-1</sup>) were the main plates, while the varieties represented the secondary factor, which is six varieties of maize, class 2 = 5783 DKC, Class 3 = 6315 DKC, Class 4= 6590 DKC, which are introduced and compared with three local varieties: Fajr, Sarah and Al-Maha, The traits of yield components (the ear length, the number of rows ear<sup>-1</sup>, the number of grains row<sup>-1</sup>, the number of grains ear<sup>-1</sup>, the number of ears, the weight of 100 grain) and their relationship to the plant yield were studied, The plant density significantly affected all the studied traits except for the number of ears, it was not significant. Low plant density outperformed the highest plant yield (157.2 g) due to its superiority in ear length, number of rows ear<sup>-1</sup>, number of grains row<sup>-1</sup>, number of grains ear<sup>-1</sup> and weight of 100 grains. The plant over the local varieties, especially variety 3, which gave the highest plant yield (168.2 g), followed by variety 4 (155.4 g), due to their superiority in ear length, number of grains row<sup>-1</sup>, number of grains ear-1, number of ears, and weight of 100 grains. The interaction between varieties and plant density was significant in all studied traits. We suggest planting the introduced varieties at different planting dates and locations to show their ability to environmentally imprint Iraq's climate and study them in the spring season, and test them under other abiotic stresses such as drought.</strong></p> Nazar S. Hassan Copyright (c) 2022 Thu, 30 Jun 2022 00:00:00 +0000 SUBSTITUTION OF ANIMAL PROTEIN BY DIFFERENT ATION OF DRIED RUMEN MEAL IN COMMON CARP Cyprinus carpio DIETS <p><strong>The study was conducted to show the effect of using dried rumen powder as a source of animal protein in the diets of common carp (<em>Cyprinus carpio</em> L.) on its performance, in the fish laboratory/College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences/University of Baghdad/ for a period of 70 d, 70 fingerlings were used with an average starting weight of 30±3 g, with a live mass rate of 202±2 g, randomly distributed among five treatments, two replicates for each treatment and seven fish for each replicate. Five diets of almost identical protein content and different percentages of addition of dried rumen powder were added. 25% was added to treatment T2 and 50% to treatment T3 and 75% of the treatment T4 and 100% of the treatment T5 In addition to the control treatment T1, which was devoid of dried rumen powder, the fish were fed on experimental diets of 4% of their body weight and weighed every 15 d. The results showed that the T2 treatment was one of the best experimental treatments, as it gave the highest levels for most of the studied traits. The results indicated that there were significant differences (p&gt;0.01) and (P &lt; 0.05) between it and the control treatment T1 in growth parameters, which included the final weight average of 715 g and the rate of increase The total weight is 512.50 g, the daily weight gain rate is 12.32 g/d, the relative growth rate is 252.47%, and the specific growth rate is 1.75 g/d. The criteria for evaluating the diet, which included the amount of feed intake 1765.26 g and the amount of protein intake 577.41 g, and the best food conversion ratio of 3.44 and the efficiency of food conversion was 29.03 % and the value of the protein produced is 64.21% and the net exploited protein is 0.73%. We conclude from the current study that the dried rumen powder can be used by 25% in the diets of common carp (<em>Cyprinus carpio</em> L.) as a partial substitute for imported animal protein because it contributed to improving production performance. Alsoufi Copyright (c) 2022 Thu, 30 Jun 2022 00:00:00 +0000 RESPONSE OF FABA BEAN TO PLANTING DISTANCE BETWEEN PLANTS AND SPRAYING WITH NANO AND TRADITIONAL BORON <p><strong>A field experiment was conducted during winter season of 2021 at a research station of college of agricultural engineering sciences, university of Baghdad to determine the response of active fertility percentage and seed yield and its components of faba bean (<em>Vicia faba</em> L. cv.</strong> <strong>Aguadulce) to distance between plants and spraying of nano and traditional boron. A Randomized Complete Block Design according to split-plots arrangement was used at three replicates. The main plots were three distances between plants (25, 35 and 45 cm), while the sub plots including spraying of distilled water only (control treatment), spraying of boron at a 100 mg L<sup>-1</sup> and spraying of nano boron at two concentrations (10 and 15 mg L<sup>-1</sup>). The results showed that the 25 cm distance between plants</strong> <strong>was significantly superiority and gave a highest mean of seed yield (4.968 ton ha<sup>-1</sup>), whereas the 45 cm distance between plants was significantly superiority and gave highest means of number of branches (10.83 branch plant<sup>-1</sup>), number of flowers (400.4 flower plant<sup>-1</sup>), number of pods (28.36 pod plant<sup>-1</sup>), active fertility percentage (7.10%) and umber of seeds (6.66 seed pod<sup>-1</sup>). The spraying of nano boron at a 10 mg L<sup>-1</sup> was significantly superior and gave the highest means of number of pods (26.91 pod plant<sup>-1</sup>), active fertility percentage (7.01%), number of seeds (6.23 seed pod<sup>-1</sup>) and seed yield (4.334 ton ha<sup>-1</sup>), while the spraying of nano boron at a 15 mg L<sup>-1</sup> was significantly superior and gave the highest means of number of branches (9.83 branch plant<sup>-1</sup>) and number of flowers (400.0 flower plant<sup>-1</sup>). Chemical phytochemical tests were performed for aqueous and alcoholic extracts of lemongrass. Antimicrobials activity was tested using agar disc diffusion method against <em>Escherichia coli</em> and <em>Staphylococcus aureus</em>. The results of the study showed that the aqueous extract of dried lemon leaves was highly effective (P≤0.05) against <em>S. aureus</em>, as the inhibition diameter was 22 mm for 50 dilution, while the inhibition diameter decreased to 15 mm for concentration 100. As for the alcoholic extract only, the diameter of inhibition decreased significantly (P≤0.05) as it was 16 mm for 50 dilution, and the diameter of inhibition decreased significantly (P≤0.05) to 8 mm for concentration 100 for <em>S. aureus </em>as well. The results of the study also showed that the effect of the alcoholic extract of lemongrass against <em>E. coli</em> was high, as the inhibition diameter was 20 mm for dilution 50, and a significant decrease (P≤0.05) fell to 12 mm for concentration 100. Shaban Copyright (c) 2022 Thu, 30 Jun 2022 00:00:00 +0000 THE INFLUENCE OF SUPPLEMENTING ELLAGIC ACID TO BROILER DIETS ON PRODUCTIVITY AND WHITE BLOOD CELL DIFFERENTIAL COUNTS <p><strong>This study has been carried out in the animal field of the college of agricultural engineering sciences, university of Baghdad</strong><strong>, for the period from</strong><strong> 12/15/2021 to 1/26 /2022</strong> <strong>for 42 d</strong><strong>,</strong><strong> to investigate the effect of adding different levels of ellagic acid to the diet of broilers, on some physiological characteristics &amp;&nbsp; oxidation indicators in meat compared to vitamin C in meat,&nbsp; </strong><strong>225 Ross 308 chicks were used, divided randomly to five treatments such us: T1: control group without additives to diet, &amp;&nbsp; the other T2, T3, T4 was</strong><strong> added&nbsp; ellagic </strong><strong>&nbsp;acid </strong><strong>(</strong><strong>0.25</strong><strong>, </strong><strong>0.5 and 0.75</strong><strong> mg/ kg diet) respectively</strong><strong> and </strong><strong>T5: was added vitamin</strong><strong> C</strong> <strong>0.5</strong><strong> mg/ kg</strong><strong>, the birds were given ellagic acid &amp; vitamin C from day one to the end of the experiment</strong><strong>, </strong><strong>the study results were showed a significant differences</strong><strong> increase (P&lt;0.05) improved </strong><strong>at T4 treatment</strong><strong> in the first &amp; second week &amp; in T2 and T4. in the 4<sup>th</sup>&nbsp; and 5<sup>th</sup> weeks treatment T2 was superior, to show a significant advantage of the control treatment &amp; T1,T2 in the 2<sup>nd</sup> week for the trait of overweight, in the 4<sup>th</sup> and 5<sup>th</sup> weeks the treatment T2 was superior for the total weight gain, there was an improvement in the feed conversion in 4<sup>th</sup> week in T2, in the 5<sup>th</sup> week the treatment T2 was superior, there was a significantly superior in T2 for total weight gain rate, there was a significant increase in the feed conversion in T1 and T4 in the 2<sup>nd</sup> week</strong><strong>. </strong></p> Ibrahim M. Salman Copyright (c) 2022 Thu, 30 Jun 2022 00:00:00 +0000 STUDY OF SOME GROWTH CRITERIA AND YIELD OF SOYBEAN CROP WITH THE EFFECT OF BORON AND SOME GROWTH REGULATORS <p><strong>The study was conducted at research station A, department of field crops, college of agricultural engineering sciences, university of Baghdad during summer 2021 to evaluate the effect of boron and some growth regulators on some growth criteria and yield of soybean crop (cv. shimaa). The experiment&nbsp; was carried out according to split plots by using randomized complete block design with three replications. The main plots&nbsp;included three concentrations of boron (75, 150 and 225) mg.L<sup>-1</sup>, the sub-plots included three levels of growth regulators, spraying kinetin (100 mg. L<sup>-1</sup>), spraying ethrel (200 mg.L<sup>-1</sup>) and spraying kinetin (100 mg.L<sup>-1</sup>) + spraying ethrel (200 mg.L<sup>-1</sup>) as well as spraying of distilled water as control treatment. The findings revealed that the spraying of ethrel at 200 mg.L<sup>-1 </sup>gave the lower means of plant height (114.68 cm), and gave the higher means of No. of branches (5.60 branch. plant<sup>-1</sup>), leaf area (97.86 dcm<sup>2</sup>), plant dry weight (206.64 g&nbsp; plant<sup>-1</sup>)</strong> <strong>and this led to give higher means of seed yield (2.715 ton. ha<sup>-1</sup>), while the concentrations of growth regulators did not significantly affect the leaf area index. </strong><strong>Boron concentrations affected most of studied traits, 150 mg.L<sup>-1 </sup>of boron effect on most of traits and gave higher means of plant height</strong><strong> (143.93cm), No. of branches (6.21 branch plant<sup>-1</sup>), leaf area (111.53 dcm<sup>2</sup></strong> <strong>plant), leaf area index (7.47), plant dry weight (246.45 g),</strong> <strong>this led to give higher means of seed yield (3.071 ton.ha<sup>-1</sup>). Result showed that boron and some growth regulators interaction have a significant effect on some characteristics under study.</strong> <strong>It has achieved spray treatments </strong><strong>Boron with 150 mg.L<sup>-1</sup> and ethrel of 200 mg.L<sup>-1</sup></strong><strong> gave the higher means of&nbsp; No. of branches (6.97 branch plant<sup>-1</sup>), leaf area (114.26 dcm<sup>2</sup></strong><strong>.</strong><strong>plant), LAI (7.62), plant dry weight (265.24 g.plant<sup>-1</sup>).</strong></p> Ali W.
