POSSIBILITY OF REDUCING THE QUANTITATIVE END QUALIITATIVE LOSSES BY USING THE POTATO DIGGER

Abstract

A field experiment was conducted in one of the fields of the Technical Institute in Shatrha for the spring season 2022 to study the effect forward speeds (2.50, 3.18 ,3.60 km. hr-1), and two levels of conveyor speeds (43, 49) m. min-1 and two level of type of chain conveyor of rubber bars and clothes -coated in possibility of reducing the quantitative and qualitative losses by using the potato digger. quantitative loss,  qualitative losses, and field efficiency  were studied in this research. The randomized complete block design with three replications was used in the research. The results showed that the tractor speed 2.50 km.hr-1 in gets the quantitative losses which amounted to1.40 %, and the qualitative losses amounted to 11.1%, and the tractor speed  3.60 km. hr-1 gets the heights Field efficiency amounted to 84.80%.
