Abstract

The research aims to improve broiler breeders’ adoption of cage breeding technology in Babylon governorate, Iraq. A random sample consisting of 107 broiler breeders was taken. A questionnaire was prepared that included five main areas: suggestions for improving the agricultural extension system, improving related to the breeders, improving the environmental and management, improving the economic and marketing, as well as improving related to cage breeding technology. The research results have shown a high level of agreement among breeders on the suggestions that improve the adoption of Cage Breeding Technology. Consequently, this high level of agreement (approval) and satisfaction with the suggestions presented in the research must be matched by an organized process to put these suggestions into actual practice by decision-makers. This will significantly and effectively contribute in increasing the number of adopters of cage breeding technology and achieving the desired economic and social aims.
